Questions Assignment (doc)

Referee

September: Focus on referee mechanics.

Start of Match

  • Line up outside of contest area.
  • Bow, walk up to line facing the opposing contestant
  • Bow, one step forwards
  • Referee, "Commands, Hajime"
  • Use of appropriate hand signals

End of match

  • Contestants stand "one step" in front of line
  • Referee steps forward and awards the win, and then steps back
  • Contestants, step back and bow, then proceed to walk to end of mat, bow again
  • Then walk away.
